KORI HILL – TREK 2023
We got out from home (Chinedanda) at 9:30 AM on 24th November 2023 in the morning. We took taxi to Kau Khola. From there we took Jeep to Sikles. From Sikles we walked all the way up to TASA and reached TASA at 5:15 PM. We stayed at TASA (GOMA HOTEL) in 1st day of our trek. We woke up around 6:30 AM in the next day morning and had our breakfast by 7 AM and headed towards KORI HILL. GOMA HOTEL owner known as LAMA Dai, he was very kind and humble. It was wonderful stayed at his hotel. We reached KORI HILL at 12:15 PM. We reached our destination early because we walk faster than normal people walk.
As we reached there at “NAMASTE GUEST HOUSE-3” we saw worker were walking to bring water and to bring firewood. There were some firewood and my brother helped them with chopping firewood. My brother was like “is a bit cold here let me warm up”. After they came Jungle with firewood, they were surprised. While walking around,I saw a lot of garbage scattered everywhere which makes me sad and we (with my oldest brother son) started to clean immediately. We collected all of them and place in one. We tried burning them all but some were wet and it didn’t burn all.
After that we asked GUEST HOUSE worker, why there were garbage scattered everywhere? They said, they also tried their best but because of wind and rain that made it hard for them to control. What do you think guys? Is it really hard to control waste garbages there?
KORI HILL is one of the best hiking destination. It has beautiful mountains range to offer. But being of the best hiking destination, there is sad part of it. Hiker thew plastic and garbage on the way, where they stay for rest. I am not gonna blame all the people but people who throw plastic and garbage. If you can carry food packed with plastic, how on earth you can’t carry just plastic after you’ve eaten your food? Please everyone, after you ate your food, bring plastic with you and dispose in proper place. Because if you don’t do that, it will destroy the beauty of nature. Nature gives you joy, freedom and happiness.
